Katsushika Trio’s Album CD is now part of Kanagawa prefecture, Kawasaki City’s Hometown tax donation gift return program!

5 Years after forming their super instrumental band “Katsushika Trio”, founding members of the 80s revolutionary Japanese jazz fusion band that swept the music scene “Casiopea”, Minoru Mukaiya (Keyboards), Tetsuo Sakurai (Bass) and Jimbo Akira (Drums) were able to make the international recording of their dreams come true.
The trio’s superior performance together with the beautiful play by the LA Strings created such a unique sound that an audio specialized journalist described it as “the highest quality work I’ve listened to in 10 years”.
Katsushika Trio’s 3rd album “Organic – feat. LA Strings”
Mr. Mukaiya, CEO of Ongakukan(Kawasaki city) and member of the trio, is renowned as a master of electric instruments, but for the first time in his long career, in all pieces of this album he played the acoustic piano. The recording and mixing were done by Master Don Murray, who has won multiple Grammy Awards, the most prestigious music award in the USA. And finally, the mastering was completed by none other than Master Bernie Grundman, to complete a beautifully polished and high-quality album.
The CD booklet also includes about 1400 characters of album review, each member’s self-written commentary (about 400 characters) as well as lots of candid photos from the recording to help the listeners garnering a deeper understanding of this work.

Ongakukan Co.,Ltd. (CEO: Minoru Mukaiya) is now offering for the Kanagawa prefecture, Kawasaki City’s Hometown tax donation gift return program “Organic – Feat. LA Strings”, the newest album by fusion band Katsushika Trio that our CEO Mukaiya is a member of.
This album is one of the commemorative projects created for our company’s 40th anniversary, that we celebrated in Kawasaki City in September of 2025.
