Starting from November 1st 2025, Tokyu Toyoko line will introduce a tune written by our CEO Mukaiya for their trains’ departure signaling sound

Tokyu Railways will be gradually introducing a melody written by our CEO Mukaiya as the departure signaling sound in their model 4000 of the 5050 Series trains, that principally runs on the Toyoko line.
This change in signaling sound has the goal of helping passengers to distinguish between lines and direction of the train in the sections where the Toyoko line and Meguro line run parallel to each other (Den’enchofu station to Hiyoshi station).
Here is an overview of the plan for the change in the departure signaling sound:
