East Japan Railway Company Conventional line simulator for drivers and conductors’ coordinated training

It provides both independent and coordinated training for drivers and conductors. The footage of the tracks at the front and back, and both sides move at the speed set by the driver; there is also an ITV display setup for stations that have it installed. The platform floor on both sides is animated to show the stopping point on arrival, and the conductor’s cabin has working doors on both sides, so it is possible to simulate door blockages and the use of the emergency door handle. With the wireless handsets and the interphone, it allows communication between the 4 positions (Driver and its instructor, conductor and its instructor) even from separate training rooms. The first set was introduced to East Japan Railways starting in 2016 and the installation in all the crew offices was completed in 2019.
